1. The use of plug valve
The plug valve is usually applied to the low and medium-pressure,
minor caliber or the environment with low temperature. The valve
could be used for truncating, allocating, changing media flow.
Straight way type plug valve is mainly used for truncating media
flow, while three way plug valve and four way plug valve are mainly
used for changing the flow direction or allocating media. When
it is used in the high temperature situation, we could use lift
type plug valve with lift structure in the top of the valve. When
opening, please lift the plug first so that to disconnected with
the sealing. Besides, small torques, less wear of sealing face,
long operating life are all its characteristics.
2. The specification of plug valve
1£©quick opening and closing, convenient, unlimited
flow direction

weight
3£© little flow resistance, because when the media
flow alone the plug valve, the fluid flow passage could be reduced.
4£©big torque of opening and closing with great effort,
because the body and plug is sealed by conical surface that increase
the contact area. However, if using the lubricant one, it will
reduce the torque of opening and closing.
5£©The sealing face of the plug valve is conical surface,
so the sealing face is large, easy to wear and be out of shape
and be locked in a high temperature. What's more, it is difficult
to processing, keep seal and maintain. But if using the oil type,
it could increase sealability.
