Butterfly
valve whose closure plate (valve flap or butterfly board)
is a plate, for the disc rotate around the valve axis to achieve
the opening and closing ,is used as shut off and throttle in the
main pipe. General speaking the angle is small then 90 degree
when the butterfly valve operated from whole open to whole closed.
The valve and its shaft didn¡¯t have function of self
locking. For the disc positioning we should install a gear reduce
box in the valve¡¯s shaft. When we install the gear
box in the valve , the disc will get function of self locking
and we can make sure that the disc can be in any position according
to our like, also it can be improving the performance of the Valve¡¯s
operating.
