Self-reliance pressure regulator valve drives by
the energy of medium itself, not required other energy like electric
power or pneumatic source, so it is energy-saving and environmentally
friendly. It is so easy to use that it can be put on running after
installation and the pressure has been set. Thus it has been widely
used under the situation which doesn't need high control accuracy
requirement and lack of electric power or pneumatic source.
However, the valve also need correct selection, correct installation
and use, to ensure there is not any problem appeared after operation.
Selection is not need much to said, such as regulator valve is
used for controlling upstream pressure or downstream pressure,
medium is normal pressure or high temperature, has causticity
or not, the highest working pressure, etc. must be clear. Here
we mainly talk about something about installation and using, because
recently I met a problem of the using of self-reliance pressure
regulator valve, which is representative.
The valve is used in steam pipe, the user reports after using
only just one or two months. In attendance, I find numerous steams
exhause from air vent of the head, and the noise is so big. Apparently,
the cause of the accident is that the steam goes into the head
directly without condensation, so it burns the diaphragm.
Used in steam pipe, the self-reliance pressure regulator valve
must add a drainer been the actuator and pipe when installation.
It cannot let steam enter the actuator head, when installation,
the regulator must be upside down, and the drainer should higher
than head. The drainer and head must be filled with water when
it used for the first time. There is no problems after looking
at the site and asking the installation person, so what is the
reason? It is a head-scratching puzzlement. Later, I get to know
it after asking an operator carefully. The copper pipe joint between
drainer and head has been leaked continuously after this valve
is installed and put into use. Originally, it is the leakage causes
the water in the drainer dry slowly, then the steam enters the
head which burns the diaphragm.
Thus, it must pay attention to self-reliance pressure regulator
valve when it is used in steam pipe, installation and maintenance.
To ensure it operated normally, it cannot make joint leaking and
let drainer dry, it need regular check and add the water timely.
Actually, not only self-reliance pressure regulator valve but
also other self-reliance type regulator should note the maintenance
when using.
In addition, if the steam pressure is high, it would better choose
the piston actuators, not the diaphragm type. Because the pressure
that the diaphragm can bear not exceed 0.4 Mpa, although it can
use, the using life will greatly reduce.
