The reducing
valve is a kind of valve which mainly operated by regulating,
cutting the inlet pressure to be matched with the outlet, also
depending on the medium energy and then making the outlet pressure
remain stable automatically.
From the point of fluid mechanics, the reducing valve is a throttling
component that can change partial resistance just as that the
throttling area. In this way, it would make the kinetic energy
of velocity and fluid change and the pressure reduce eventually.
Next relying on the control and adjustment of the system, it balances
the outlet pressure oscillation and spring force and keeps the
outlet pressure constant within some error range.
Applicable Occasions
Reducing
valve is also named automatic valve, a kind of regulator
valve. It works under the throttle of disc, the cut of the inlet
pressure to a needed outlet. When the inlet pressure and flow
rate change, the valve could also make good use of the medium
energy to make the outlet pressure unchanged basically.
According to the action principle, the reducing valve is divided
into directly reducing valve and pilot reducing valve. The direct
reducing valve uses the change of outlet pressure to affect the
disc movement. Bellow direct reducing valve apply to low pressure
and medium, small diameter steam. Diaphragm direct reducing valve
apply to low pressure and medium, small diameter air and water.
Pilot reducing valve is composed of pilot valve and main valve,
the change of outlet pressure is made by enlarging pilot valve
to control main valve¡¯s disc movement. Pilot piston
reducing valve apply to all kinds of pressure, dimension and temperature
steam, air and water. If the valve is made of stainless acid resistant
steel, it could apply to various kinds of corrosive media. Pilot
bellow reducing valve apply to low pressure and medium, small
diameter steam, air and water, etc. Pilot diaphragm reducing valve
apply to medium and low pressure, medium and small diameter steam
or water, etc.
Selective Principles
1,The reducing
valve's inlet pressure fluctuation should be controlled
within its fixed value, 80%¡«105%. If surpassing that
range, the performance of the reducing valve will be affected.
Usually the pc should be less than p1, Pc<0.5P1.
2,Each gear of reducing valve is applicable within pc range. Once
surpassing, please replace the spring.
3,At relatively high temperature place, choosing pilot piston
reducing valve or pilot bellow reducing valve.
4,In air or water, choosing direct diaphragm reducing valve or
pilot bellow reducing valve.
5,In steam, choosing pilot piston reducing valve or pilot bellow
reducing valve.
6,For the convenience of operation, adjusting and maintaining,
the reducing valve should be fixed on the level pipeline.
